Medicare
Acupuncture Coverage
Many individuals were informed that Medicare Part B covers up to 12 acupuncture visits. Unfortunately, this coverage is limited.

As of 09/23/2023, per Medicare's website (https://www.medicare.gov/coverage/acupuncture):
"Not all providers can give acupuncture, and Medicare can't directly pay Licensed Acupuncturists for their services. Medicare also doesn't cover acupuncture (including dry needling) for any condition other than chronic low back pain."

We are hoping that this will change very soon but as of now we cannot take Medicare if that is the only insurance you have.
* Some Medicare Advantage plans may have exceptions to above.
